Image Processing course
This course brings you up to speed with scientific image processing and especially focuses on explaining and detailing the underlying principles. Along the way, you will also be shown the ins- and outs of ImageJ/FIJI.
Learning goals: Improving and/or enabling the extraction of useful scientific information and quantification from image data, increasing efficiency of data analysis, proficiency in FIJI, understanding what one is doing when clicking around in image processing software.
Prerequisites: Bring your own laptop with FIJI installed
Next course: The next Image processing course will take place between March 8 and April 5th (5 mornings) always on Wednesday mornings (9-11). Registration will open from middle of January.

Stereology course
Stereology are a set of tools for the geometrical quantification in image data. This is a practical course that will cover a little bit of basic theory and a lot of hands-on examples.
Learning goals: understand how one can accurately estimate number of objects, surface area of objects or volume from own datasets.
Prerequisites: Bring scissors, pen and paper
